The cinematic origin of the work inspired the title of the collection. The stories are a blend of drama and comedy. They contain some adult situations and language which would probably inspire the Motion Picture Association of America to give it an "R" rating!

S.O.S. Save Old Santa
A children's book that tells the story of a beleaguered Santa as he fends off a hostile take-over of Christmas by a nefarious new-comer named Free-For-All. It is a story of friendship, learning to ask for help when it's needed, and finding happiness by being yourself.
S.O.S. Save Old Santa
is co-written by Paul Root and his daughter, Bridget. Illustrations are by R.I.T. adjunct instructor of art, Peter Botsis. A limited 2009 run of the books was done to raise funds for MoKA, a Rochester, NY-based program that provides arts programs for inner-city youth.
